We’ve got lakes, rivers, bayous, and springs. There’s also the 31-mile Tammany Trace, plenty of nature trails, and several annual races. Louisiana is known as Sportsman’s Paradise and lives up to that name on the Northshore. You can rent a bike and ride the Trace or stroll around the Lakefront or Downtown Covington. You can also rent a canoe or kayak and paddle your way down a river or bayou. If you like communing with nature on a hike, check out the trails at one of the parks or nature centers.
