Learn, Have Fun, Be Weird
You research a place before you visit, right? Like to find out what the place has to offer? Of course, you do. So do I. But I always wonder about the places not listed on the brochures. I want to know which places are hidden away that some locals may not even know about. Don’t get me wrong; I love a good museum. I’d just like to know about the off-the-menu items, too.
If you’re a first-time visitor to the Northshore or just haven’t been out in a month of Sundays, there are a few places you may want to see. This is a companion page to the Ongoing Events and Parks and Rec pages. Here, I’ll cover the mainstream, the unique, and the weird. It will include museums and other staple landmarks that are front and center on the tourism sites, but I’ll also add any “other” items that I come across. So, put on your sittin’ britches and stay a spell.
